Reality TV families have an uncanny habit of being on top of drama, and recently, the Hamlins once again came under the water for the drama they have ensued in all these years. The Hamlins are not going to have a particularly great Christmas this year, most probably.

Apparently, Delilah Belle Hamlin shared a TikTok video with the caption, “Unrealistic things I want for Christmas … for my parents to pay for my trauma therapy.” Notably, her parents Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin, are yet a bit tight-lipped about the video.

The couple aged 58 and 70 respectively together share daughters Delilah Hamlin, aged 28, and Amelia Gray Hamlin, aged 20. The two daughters are quite famous and have grown up on TV, to be exact. They have shared their struggles growing up with famous parents on the internet time and time again. Just recently, Delilah had shared that she was hospitalized due to substance abuse of Xanax.

“In the beginning of the year, I want to say February and March, is when I got my COVID-19 vaccine. … And after the second vaccine, I was sick for, like, 36 hours. I felt like my bones were breaking but, like, whatever. … That’s when everything kind of started,” the famous personality shared on her Instagram account in a long video that ran for 30 minutes.

“I didn’t realize that the vaccine would cause an autoimmune response in my body… I started getting really sick. I started feeling like I had the flu. I was getting migraines. I was having panic attacks — it was like my body was in constant ‘fight or flight’ mode. It was horrible.”

The lady also cleared up that she is not 'anti-vaccine' but had to seek out professional help for her panic attacks. She elaborated, “My body got dependent on Xanax, No. 1, and No. 2, I overdosed. I didn’t mean to at all. I overdosed on this one medication called Propranolol. I took Benadryl with it, and, for some reason, I ended up in the hospital."

Of course, it was not only Delilah who had to suffer from the consequences. Her parents and family were also dragged into the midst of the issue. “My family and I are struggling to figure out, kind of, what to do. Mentally, I am not great today. I’m feeling hopeless … since the last treatment center didn’t work out.”

Delilah has maintained reasonable transparency into her mental health battles and had once shared a video where she lip-synced to a sound saying, “I’m so sorry that I’ve been acting weird for the past several months. I’m struggling mentally.”

In a past post where Delilah had shared some of her lows in her life, she had stated, “I’m feeling hopeless since the last place I went to didn’t really work out. I can look perfectly fine and feel perfectly horrible. That’s just that. That’s something I struggle with mentally, is feeling believed.”

While there is not much on where Delilah stands with her family, given that she wants her parents to pay for her therapy, the Hamlins have seemingly stood beside their daughters in their tough times. Soon after Delilah shared that she was struggling with her mental health her mother, Rinna, talked about her daughter's battle with mental health and shared gratitude for people who were checking in on the young lady.

The Melrose Place alum shared through her Instagram stories: “Thank you to all of the angels who have reached out, sharing their stories, sending their love and prayers. We are so grateful to you all for your help and your guidance!!”

It is weird to see Delilah post the therapy video around this time, and fans are almost shocked to see it. It seems like Delilah had been shading her parents for the tough life they had growing up in the spotlight. Most celebrity kids have to put up with a lot as they achieve fame at a young age without even knowing what is going on.

Recently, Jamie Foxx's daughter had made headlines revealing that she had considered changing her last name for all the string that came attached with her famous family name. It is almost obvious to see that the Hamlin sisters might face issues with something similar. While it might be great to have the privilege and have so many doors open just because you have famous parents, it could be overwhelming to be seen just as a famous name and not have your talents recognized.

A recent look into the lives of young stars also pointed out the fact that growing up with fame is usually the reason that so many young kids from Hollywood steer towards substance abuse from a young age. The trauma associated with having spotlights always pointed at you is not healthy for little children. While substance abuse is a grave issue and needs immediate care always, it is important that the elite of the industry take time to see that their children are doing well.
