According to reports, Grammy-Award-winning rapper ‘Ye’, formerly known as Kanye West could be under investigation after he allegedly punched a fan in the face who asked for his autograph on Thursday morning in downtown Los Angeles.
It has been reported that Ye could face battery charges following the incident that took place as he was leaving the club early in the morning. The alleged victim shared that he spotted Ye sitting in his car around 3 a.m. after leaving the SoHo Warehouse located near the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and 7th Street. The fan said when he approached Ye, the rapper jumped out of his car and punched him, and left the scene. The victim alleges that Ye punched him so hard that he fell to the ground.
TMZ also obtained video footage of the incident in which Ye can be heard saying, "Did y'all say that or not? Did y'all say that or not? Cuz that's what happened right fucking now.” The sources claim that the investigation is under process as misdemeanor battery and carries a maximum jail sentence of six months.
This is not the first time Ye has punched someone, back in 2014, People magazine reported that the rapper was arrested for assaulting a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport. The photographer accused the rapper of punching him and grabbing his camera and Ye was sentenced to 250 hours of community service, two years probation, and 24 hours anger management sessions.
In 2008, Ye was arrested for vandalism and battery over an altercation with photographers at Los Angeles International Airport where he allegedly damaged a camera. He was later released on USD 20,000 bail.

The rapper is also in the midst of a high-profile divorce with beauty mogul Kim Kardashian who is currently dating comedian Pete Davidson while Kanye ‘Ye’ West is dating Italian actress Julia Fox. It has been reported that Ye was spotted with Julia Fox at the popular restaurant ‘Delilah’ in West Hollywood hours before the incident took place.
It was also reported that Ye who is dating Julia Fox still wants Kim Kardashian back but Kim is ‘unbothered’ by the way Ye is moving on or making plans to get her back. A source revealed, “She’s not even bothered by the comparisons [to Fox]. She knows that Kanye is a designer and is a visually creative person, so this has always been his love language and how he shows affection for someone he likes.” Kim Kardashian according to the source has completely moved on and is feeling free and happy with Pete Davidson who tends to bring out the best in her.
It has been seen that since Kim started dating Pete, she has not been bothered much about her clothes and images and just wants to exist in sweatpants and shapewear. “She just cares about having total happiness and peace — not being cool. Kim loves to see Kanye happy, and only wants positive things for him because it’s what’s best for their kids,” the source added.

On the other hand, Julia Fox has also addressed the romance with Kanye ‘Ye West, and during her chat on the Forbidden Fruits podcast, Julia said, "I don’t have any expectations,” and the duo are living in the moment and their romance has no label yet. Talking to ET Canada, Julia said, "It’s just people who make each other feel better. It’s a very Gemini-Aquarius connection. It’s very inspirational. I talk very fast and I can have ten trains of thought or whatever. What’s exciting about him is that any idea can become a reality. Anything is possible. Any dream is possible. And I love that. He’s just such a doer.”
Julia further in her conversation called Ye ‘a f******g genius’, mentioned that she feels that it’s an honor for her to be in his presence and to witness history happening.
On Wednesday, Ye was announced as a headliner for this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival which will take place over the two weekends in April. He joins the list of singers Billie Eilish and Harry Styles. Ye last performed at a special concert in Los Angeles that was live-streamed over Amazon Music and featured a guest appearance from Drake as well although Drake’s set was edited from the rebroadcast of the concert.
