The 49th annual National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Daytime Emmy Awards was held on Friday night i.e., 24th June 2022 at the Pasadena Convention Center, California where Entertainment Tonight anchors Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner hosted the show for the first time. The show was broadcasted on CBS.
The Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards will be reorganized such that the content genre would take precedence over show airtime, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), and the Television Academy jointly announced in December. The ceremony, which took place at the Pasadena Convention Center, is the first since that announcement. Additionally, the first-ever Children's & Family Emmy Awards, with pertinent categories separate from the Daytime Emmys in its competition and ceremony, will be held in 2022 in honor of the significantly increased content and entries for children's programs.

Actor John Aniston received the Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding performance in soap operas. For 37 years, John Aniston played Victor Kiriakis on Days of our Lives. At the event, co-star Suzanne Rogers introduced him before Jennifer Aniston made a video appearance. It is truly a special moment for Jennifer Aniston to present the award to her father, she said, adding that it is also an opportunity to honor a great and well-respected actor for his lifetime accomplishments as well as to present the Lifetime Achievement Award to an icon in the daytime television industry. John Aniston has continuously worked on television for more than 50 years, according to Jennifer Aniston.
The actress said, John Aniston's devotion to the program for more than 30 years has earned him the respect and admiration of his fellow performers, strong friendships, and delighted millions of fans across the world. According to Jennifer Aniston, her father's profession is the epitome of a lifelong accomplishment. Although John Aniston was unable to attend the ceremony to collect the award in person, the crowd enthusiastically applauded him for his efforts in the soap operas.
John Aniston back in 1990 shared about Jennifer Aniston that she is a natural talent and there are certain things that one can learn in this business and there are certain things one cannot. The veteran actor went ahead to praise his daughter and said that her comic instinct is unerring.
