Do you like watching horror movies all year-round instead of just the Halloween season? Horror is an incredible genre that makes for a good, engaging watch at just about any time. Ranging from a genre merge that could carry you into thrillers or even dark comedy and horror humor, there is a lot that Horror films offer you. Here is the collection of the best horror films that you can watch on Hulu.

Titane

The 2021 film is marked amongst the best horror films of the year 2021 and features a directorial debut by director Julia Ducournau, famous for Raw, who also serves as the writer for the movie. The story involves the life of Alexia, played by Agatha Rousselle, who has a thing for cars and is a serial killer.

Things get weird when Agatha expects a child with a Sedan and has to go into hiding after killing a few people. The mother hides as a means to safeguard the future of her child and survive imminent danger.

Bizarre and utter confuzzling, the film features scenes of Agatha getting intimate with a car, lactating motor oil, and murdering someone with only a hairpin in just about the first 30 minutes. The film is full of moments that would totally have your brain succumbing to its raw originality and unpredictability.

The film runs for one hour and 48 minutes and is as gruesome and gory as things can get with cars. If you like Titane, you could also consider watching Under the Skin, a 2013 film.

Fresh

The film is Mimi Cave's first attempt at a full-length feature film that explores the scary reality of dating in the modern world. The film is loosely based on Hannibal with a cannibalistic twist as Noa, played by Daisy Edgar-Jones, meets her date Steve, played by Sebastian Stan, who could very much have a taste for the human skin.

The film will remind you of American Psycho, Blood Diner, and also When Harry Met Sally at times, as the two leads transverse around each other with their killer intentions. The horror comedy film shows Noa as an intelligent young lady who needs to avoid becoming her date's meal.

And then there is Steve, who is a pretentious goof while his real psychopathy lurks just right under the mask but is kept nicely hidden with charm. Remember the film could cut at your appetite. But if you like it, you could watch the 2014 film It follows.

Little Monsters

Apocalypse has always been an interesting way to add thrill to films and it could be even crazier if it involves zombies out loose on the Australian landscape. The film is directed by Abe Forsythe and stars Alexander Egland as the lead of the picture.

The simple man has a crush on Miss Caroline, Lupita Nyong'o from Us, who is the teacher of his nephew. To get close to her, he volunteers to accompany the kindergarten schoolers on a class trip.

But their fun is cut short when zombies escape from a military base and Dave and Miss Caroline are left alone, with an accompanying host of a children's show, and save the young ones. The film is almost a happy watch, considering how gory things can get in the zombie verse otherwise.

The film is a mix between Shaun of the Dead and Warm Bodies, which is Little Monsters, and also stars Gad as an amazing light-hearted character, Teddy McGiggle. The film is most truly kept afloat by Nyong'o, who is truly brave when it comes to facing the zombies and still a humane teacher where the children are concerned. Warm Bodies is a recommended watch if Little Monsters interest you.

Run

Directed by the Searching director Aneesh Chaganty, the film stars Sarah Paulson as Diane Sherman, a committed mother who has devoted her life to taking care of her disabled daughter Chloe. Chloe is played by Kiera Allena and is 17 years old. Things turn a bit bitter for Chloe when she needs to leave for college as she is forced to become a prisoner in her own home, uncovering some deeply twisted secrets.

The film is majorly based around the Sherman house itself as the director creates a perfect balance between the house that is so known to Chloe but is now congesting her under its own weight. Paulson told EW that she prepared for her role by watching Piper Laurie, who plays the psychotic mother in the cult-classic horror film, Carrie.

The story shows the familiar overbearing care of an adult who is suffocating the younger character under their rules of control and making them dependent so that the younger person is always in chains. A likely good watch to be paired with Run is Hush.
