Following the Ellen DeGeneres' toxic work environment scandal, Stephen "tWitch" Boss felt under pressure.

Todrick Hall, a friend of Stephen "tWitch" Boss, recently spoke out about the stress the late American dancer and DJ felt after the controversy involving his friend and boss Ellen DeGeneres' toxic workplace was disclosed.

Todrick Hall stated that as soon as the scandal became global and people started talking about it, people started to question Stephen "tWitch" Boss as an individual who stood by Ellen's side, which incorporated a significant amount of pressure for him to deal with. A friend of Stephen "tWitch" Boss appears to believe that the stress contributed to the late American dancer's depression, which led to his suicide. Todrick clarified that he doesn't understand what happened in his life to cause him to make that choice but he understands.

Todrick went on to say that when he gets internet some days like right now, there's only a certain amount a human being can take if he's in the wrong spot where this abusive behavior will keep going for a long time to come. He continued by stating that Stephen was simply a person who was always available to him and was also very kind and down to earth. Todrick noted that Stephen managed to visit him a few times and that they shot TikTok videos together.

On December 13, the "So You Think You Can Dance" judge died of a self-inflicted shotgun wound in a Los Angeles hotel room. He was forty years old. He decided to join "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" as a DJ in 2014 and was promoted to co-executive producer in 2020. A suicide note was found which mentioned that he couldn't deal with the pressure he was facing but nothing more was known.

Talking about The Ellen DeGeneres Show, several former workers anonymously online alleged that the host allowed a culture of "racism, fear, and intimidation" on the set of 2020. The surprising revelation sparked a flood of online scrutiny, some of which was aimed at Stephen "tWitch" Boss, who stood by the talk show host's side. Ellen DeGeneres declared in the spring of 2022 that she was leaving her talk show after 19 years, declaring that she had decided to leave before the allegations surfaced. On April 28, she filmed her final episode.
