Friends and former co-stars remember Annie Wersching

Annie Wersching, an actress, died at the age of 45 after a battle with cancer on Sunday in Los Angeles. She was best remembered for her roles in 24: Live Another Day, The Vampire Diaries, Star Trek, and Bosh. Though after her 2020 diagnosis, Annie Wersching continued working, with roles in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Picard as the Borg queen in Season 2, and The Rookie. She furthermore played Tess in the well-known video game The Last of Us, which HBO developed into a TV series.

Actress Ever Carradine was among the first to pay tribute to her former Marvel’s Runaways costar. Ever wrote that the world has lost a ray of sunshine noting that she loves Annie Wersching and she hopes the late actress is dancing with her beloved mama while watching over her sweet boys. The actress concluded that she is so lucky to have been her friend.

The official Star Trek account posted that the death of Star Trek: Picard's Annie Wersching was saddening, that her skill and likability were undisputable, and she would be missed greatly by the entire Star Trek family. They went on to say that her enthusiasm and impact on the Star Trek universe will be forever remembered. 

According to Timeless Writers, the entire Timeless family is shocked to hear of Annie Wersching's tragic passing adding that as villainous as she was as Emma on the show, Annie was compassionate, lively, and generous in real life. The Timeless family extends its deepest sympathies to her husband, Stephen Full, and their sons.

Allison Pill posted a photo of the pair from the science fiction series, referring to Annie Wersching as the "Borg queen." She expressed her appreciation for getting to meet and worked with the truly extraordinary Annie Wersching, trying to describe her as hilarious, delightful, and kind, and able to express how much she will be missed. Allison added that everybody should hug their loved ones today, noting that Ever Carradine has set up a GoFundMe to assist her family during this difficult time and that Annie will always be her Borg queen.

Star Trek: Picard actor Dominic Burgess also posted, writing that he is deeply saddened to learn of Annie Wersching's death; she was fantastic and lit up the screen. Dominic stated that a GoFundMe page has been set up to assist her husband Stephen and their children during this difficult time, with showrunner Terry Matalas tweeting that this is truly saddening and that his heart goes out to Annie's family.

Abigail Spencer, the Timeless co-star, described the late actress as the best scene partner,  her arch-nemesis and she really can not maintain a straight face. This is a terrible loss for the community, wrote Abigail, trying to add that Annie was the foundation of a number of the audience's favorite shows. The makers would call Annie If they need somebody to kick asses, elevate a plotline, or save their life. This is exceptionally hard. There are no sayings, Steve. Abigail Spencer did write that she is sending Stephen Full and the boys her affection and support, and she reminded #Timeless fans that they should consider donating to Ever Carradine's #gofundme page. She stated that Annie's family requires all the affection and assistance they can muster and that her spirit is everywhere and encompasses time and space. Emma's Lucy. 

Meanwhile, Jeri Ryan expressed appreciation for having known and worked with Annie Wersching. What a lovely, bright light was lost today, she said, trying to add that she was so privileged to have worked and played with the incredible Annie Wersching. Jeri did write that her heart is breaking for her beautiful family and everybody lucky enough to know her, and she mentioned that Ever Carradine has set up a GoFundMe for her family, urging everyone to donate. Annie, rest in peace.

Former "24" star Kiefer Sutherland said today that the world had lost a light, adding that Annie Wersching was among the best actors she had ever ended up working with, as well as a friend. Kiefer asserted that her heart aches for her young family and that Annie will be recognized for the lovely person she was.

Supernatural, The Boys creator Eric Kripke wrote on his social media that it's just heartbreaking adding that the actress was so kind, brilliant, and full of life. Eric mentioned that Annie was his secret weapon as he'd cast her in every show he made and was looking for her part in #TheBoys. He concluded that he would always regret not working with her one more time. Love to her family, help if you can.

Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec wrote on her social media that she is sad to hear about the passing away of Annie adding that she became a fan of the actress at 24 and was lucky to be able to have Annie play mama to two of the hottest vamps in town. The GofundMe is for her family. RIP Annie, you wonderful soul.
