In times of panic, when it was difficult to meet friends and go out, people used social media platforms like Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram to show their appreciation. Everywhere you look, countless wishes are coming in from people who cherish the times spent together. Many Bollywood stars are also celebrating this particular day, sending wishes to their fans and friends just as you and me. Dharmendra, among others, posted some adorable messages to social media. Dharmendra Deol, a friend and follower of Amitabh Bachchan, decided to make Friendship's Day a memorable event by posting a throwback to his movie Sholay.

Sholay was released in 1975 and lasted for 45 years. In December 2020, Sholay celebrated its 45th anniversary. Dharmendra Bachchan and Bachchan have a deep friendship. But, during an episode of Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati, he revealed that Dharmendra almost shot him in the face during the movie's climax. The episode featured contestant CRPF DIG Preet Singh talking about how Dharmendra could have bought more ammunition to save Vijay Bachchan's life.

Bachchan said, "When Dharam was capturing that scene, then Dharamji was down below, and I used to be on the prime hill. Dharamji opens a box and grabs the ammunition. He tried it immediately but was unable. Dharamji ji was extremely upset. I don't know what he did. He put the cartridge inside the gun. They were always actual bullets. He was so upset about not getting the correct shot that he fired off the gun. I heard a 'whoosh' as the bullet passed through my ear. This was when I was standing on top of the hill. He had fired an actual gunshot at main bach Gaya (I used not to be hurt). I'm sure there were many such incidents throughout this movie, and Sholay was a movie with these kinds of adventures.Sholay also featured Jaya Bachchan as Bachchan's wife and Dharmendra as Dharmendra's spouse, Hema Mlini. Sanjeev Kul as Thakur, and Amjad Khan playing the role of Gabbar. Ramesh sippy directed the film.
