Kanye ‘Ye’ West is once again making headlines but this time it’s not his coordinating outfits with Julia Fox but his details about Kim Kardashian and Ray J’s second sex tape.
Recently, Ye during an interview with Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked claims that he had stopped a second sex tape of ex-wife Kim Kardashian and Ray J. He went on to describe, “I went and got the laptop from Ray J myself that night. I met this man at the airport, then got on a red-eye, came back [and] delivered it to her at 8 a.m. in the morning.”
Ye went on to explain that as soon as Kim saw the videotape, she had a breakdown but she was relieved that it’s not getting out. Ye mentioned, “She cried when she saw it. You know why she cried when she seen it on the laptop? Because it represents how much she’s been used. It represents how much people didn’t love her, and they just saw her as a commodity.”
But a representative of Kim confirmed that the laptop Ye has mentioned is there but there is no second sex tape of Kim and Ray. The spokesperson of SKIMS founder said, “The computer and hard drive collected were supposed to contain the original video and any unseen footage. After review, there was nothing-sexual unseen, only footage on the plane on the way to Mexico and footage at a club and restaurant on the same trip. Kim remains firm in her belief that there is no new second tape that exists. After 20 years, she truly wishes to move on from this chapter [and] focus instead on the positive things she continues to do as a mother, entrepreneur and advocate for justice reform.”
A source close to Kim shared, “Kim was and still is truly grateful to Kanye for getting it back. The tape caused her a lot of pain and continues to haunt her to this day. Even though they are no longer together as a couple, they remain aligned with the same concerns about how this content that continues to be used against her will affect their four young kids in the future.”
After Ye’s claim, Ray J took to his Twitter account asking people to stop talking about a tape that does not exist. He wrote, "This needs to stop. I also have kids."
In September 2021, Ray J’s former manager Wack 100 said during a podcast that he had the second part of the infamous sex tape. He also shared that the second sex tape was ‘more graphic and better than the first one which was leaked. Wack 100 during the podcast also mentioned that he would only hand it over to Ye so he could sell it as NFT. Wack said, “I would never give it to anybody but Kanye. That’s the mother of his children.”
After the interview aired Ray J came out and said that talking about a second sex tape that does not exist is not cool. He wrote on his social media, “This ain’t cool — I been staying off the Raydar — Just staying focused and being humble and thankful for all the blessings I’m receiving. How can I show growth and maturity if this kinda of stuff keeps happening? I’m a father now and my job is to be a great parent and put them first. This is not the message I want to send out – smh.”
Kim Kardashian's attorney Marty Singer also stated that there is no second sex tape and this has just been a desperate attempt for attention. “The claim that there is an unreleased sex tape is unequivocally false. It is unfortunate that people make these statements to try and get their 15 minutes of fame.”
Kim and Ray J’s infamous sex tape was leaked in 2007 and since then the two of them have been trying to distance themselves from the memories of their past. Kim who is now built an undeniably influential brand when it comes to fashion and beauty, business, and occasionally politics. Kim is also studying law and advocates for prison reform. She is currently in the headlines because of her relationship with Pete Davidson and at the same time her estranged husband trying on different tactics to make things right with her and come together as a family.
An insider has revealed, “Kim isn’t on speaking terms with Kanye at the moment however, they’re constantly in communication via their nannies and bodyguards so that they can coordinate visits with the kids. Sure, she would love not to have to deal with [Kanye’s behavior], but this is the life she is in and just has to salvage it any way she can towards a positive outcome. It is a lot of work but that is the way she is going to deal with Kanye moving forward.”
Kim is now focusing on co-parenting with Ye and is okay with him living across the stress for the sake of kids. The source said, “All Kim wants to do is move forward with her own life and she wishes they could keep their relationship out of the public eye whenever possible. She’s fine with Kanye living across the street but she needs him to understand that there’s boundaries which she’s not willing to let him cross.”
