The defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is in its last week as the closing statements are expected to be presented on Friday, but before that, Johnny Depp’s team called several witnesses to share their expert opinions on Amber Heard’s expert testimonies.

Johnny Depp’s ex- Kate Moss, was also called upon via live video call link from Gloucestershire, southwest England on day 22 of the trial to testify for Johnny Depp. Kate Moss was called upon after Amber Heard in her testimony mentioned that while Johnny Depp, she, and her sister Whitney were in an altercation on the stairs, she instantly thought about Kate Moss and the stairs and intervened to stop Johnny Depp from hurting her sister.

The British model testified that she and Johnny Depp dated from 1994 to 1998 and the alleged "stairs" accident happened when the two of them were vacationing in Jamaica. On asking what had happened, Kate Moss revealed that they were leaving the room and Johnny Depp had left the room before she did and mentioned that there was a rainstorm at the time. The model continued that as soon as she left the room, she slipped down the stairs and hurt her back, and she screamed because she did not know what had happened to her and she was in a lot of pain.

Kate said under oath that Johnny Depp came running back to help her, carried her to the room, and got her medical attention as soon as possible. Kate Moss clarified once again that the actor never pushed, kicked, or threw her down the stairs, quashing all the claims and rumors of Johnny Depp pushing her down the stairs. She was not cross-examined by Amber Heard’s team.

Amber Heard, in her testimony, mentioned that it was the first time she had hit Johnny Depp in their entire relationship because she wanted to protect her sister and he did not push her sister down the stairs. Amber Heard has previously brought up the Kate Moss and the stairs rumor during her testimony for Johnny Depp’s U.K. defamation trial in 2020.

Body language expert Judi James analyzed that Kate Moss had nothing but warm feelings for her former beau, and throughout her testimony, which was short but precise, she was polite, smiling sweetly. A lot of fans also noticed how Johnny Depp smiled when Kate Moss appeared on-screen and seemed grateful. On the other hand, Amber Heard’s uncomfortable look throughout Kate Moss’ testimony suggested that she felt in denial or irrelevant.

Kate Moss and Johnny Depp, who dated for four years and were rumored to be engaged, broke up in 1997 but did appear together at the Cannes Film Festival in May 1998. Kate Moss previously shared in an interview with Vanity Fair in 2012 that she was heartbroken when the relationship between the two ended and she cried for years. She explained that there had been no one except Johnny Depp who had been able to take care of her and after they broke up, she lost the gauge of someone she could trust.

Johnny Depp, on his part, had mentioned to Hello Magazine that he had never been emotional about a woman before and had never been so stupid because they had so much going for their relationship. The actor did blame himself for the breakup and said that he was difficult to get on with because he let his work take priority and did not give her the attention she needed. Kate Moss is currently dating British-German photographer Nikolai von Bismarck, and Johnny Depp is still fighting his ex-wife in Fairfax County Court, Virginia.

Johnny Depp, under oath, has claimed that he has never struck any woman, including Amber Heard, and mentioned that the claims she has against him are not true. Johnny Depp mentioned that it was he who had suffered domestic abuse and violence at the hands of Amber Heard.
