Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are fighting over an op-ed post the actress wrote for The Washington Post in 2018, and their trial is expected to last up to six weeks.

Johnny Depp’s bodyguard, Sean Bett, took a stand at Fairfax County Court in Virginia and said that he had not seen the former couple physically attack each other except for one incident that he recalled was where Amber Heard threw something in Johnny Depp’s direction, which he thought was either a plastic cup or water bottle.

Sean Bett also mentioned during his testimony that he had heard the actress mock the actor various times and recalled Amber calling Johnny Depp a fatass and added "fuck you Johnny and fuck you too Sean." The bodyguard who took a stand said during his deposition that he remembered Johnny Depp mentioning that a part of his finger was sliced off and that the actor blamed the actress.

It has to be noted that sources revealed that Sean Bett was corrected several times by the judge for bringing up alleged instances where he had been informed that Amber Heard was violent with Johnny Depp. The jury present for the trial was shown several pictures of Johnny Depp in which several injuries could be seen after his altercations with Amber Heard. Sean Bett shared with the court he was emphatic towards the actor for documenting the injuries in case Amber Heard made allegations against Johnny Depp.

The bodyguard also mentioned that he did not see similar injuries on Amber Heard’s body and that Amber Heard had never complained to Sean Bett regarding facing abuse by the hands of Johnny Depp. The pictures of Johnny Depp that were shown to the jury had a swollen kind of cheekbones and eyelids. Sean Bett also said that Johnny Depp had sustained injuries in December 2015 as well, and those pictures showed scratches and bruises on his face.

Sean Bett, who met the actress around 2011 when the former couple began dating, still works for Johnny Depp and oversees his security operations. Sean said that he believed that the actress and her family members and friends took advantage of Johnny Depp as he witnessed them using his penthouse without paying rent and his cars as well. The bodyguard recalled that around 2014, the former couple started getting into passionate fights with each other regularly and Amber Heard started drinking regularly.

Sean Bett remembered that he asked Amber Heard that with this behavior, either they would kill each other or wind up in jail, to which she had replied with tears in her eyes that she loved Johnny Depp or she was not going to lose him. Sean added that the couple would reconcile within a few hours and Amber would sometimes ask him to get the food picked up from different restaurants. The bodyguard, Johnny Depp, and another security guard went back to the couple’s downtown apartment to grab some things and left the couple to talk, but went back into the apartment the second they heard Amber Heard yelling "profanities."

Sean explained that the minute he and another security entered where they were, Amber Heard had a surprised look on her face and said to Johnny Depp "This is the last time you do this to me", which confused Johnny, who asked her what she was talking about, and then Johnny Depp, Sean Bett, and the other security left. Sean mentioned that he did not witness any physical violence on either part on this occasion.

Johnny Depp’s nurse, Debbie Lloyd, March 2022 deposition, was also played in the courtroom, and in her medical notes, the nurse had mentioned that the patient (Johnny Depp) had expressed fears of never feeling normal without taking drugs. Debbie had mentioned that the actor had shared with her that there was no winning with Amber Heard, who described his behavior as mania. She added that she had witnessed that on several occasions, Johnny Depp had tried to avoid arguments between the two of them by leaving the room, but Amber Heard would follow him from room to room. (Johnny Depp’s missing fingertip was found by his chef.)

It is to be noted here that the former couple’s former marriage counselor had mentioned that Amber Heard would instigate him to stop him from leaving the room or their discussion. Debbie further mentioned an incident that took place at the couple’s LA penthouse where Amber Heard tried to stop Johnny Depp and his entire team by blocking them in the elevator. She also recalled an incident in which Johnny Depp requested that his security drive him to another house after the couple's argument became heated, but later agreed to return; he was aggressive during the argument and pushed one of Amber Heard's clothing racks, but she had not witnessed any violence directed at Amber Heard.
