Working in large project films is truly the dream of countless celebs out there, and yet getting to work in more than a few big projects at the same time can get hectic in no time at all.

The struggle of juggling two mega-production films was recently shared by Kumail Nanjiani, who has shifted his time through Marvel Cinematic Universe's Eternals and Star Wars' newest project. He explained how despite managing these two big projects, he avoids becoming overwhelmed.

The actor first started his career in the entertainment industry by becoming a stand-up comedian. Then he landed highly appreciated roles in productions like Silicon Valley and The Big Sick. These marvelous works soon brought him to the attention of the audience and helped him score two great projects with Disney. While these films are more action-oriented, produced at a bigger scale, and come under the pompous categories of box office record-making films, Kumail Najiani has managed to bring his charm abroad to the mega-hit productions from his original small-scale comedic releases.

Now Kumail Nanjiani is all ready to star in the latest Disney+ limited series, Obi-Wan Kenobi, which is scheduled to be released next year and is already quite talked about for his appearance in Eternals, the Chloe Zhao directed movie to be released by the Marvel studios. His work abroad sets of Star Wars' franchise latest project is yet under covers and is to be made public. However, his role as Kingo, an Eternal in the MCU, who lives life as an immortal, is headed for garnering a lot of praise and love. Working for two such big projects with two production houses that manage some of the best films to be released and appreciated around the globe, Nanjiani surely went through a lot of learning and unlearning experiences to fit his roles best.

Nanjiani recently opened about his time at sets of these two large productions with ScreenRant and shared how he best managed playing two different characters at the same time. While the workload of such big projects has to be quite overwhelming, Nanjiani revealed that he had to "just make it small in his head" to drive the characters to justice and not be crushed under the expectations of such immense undertakings.

He further went on to say that working on the Kenobi series of Disney+ meant that he had "to ignore that everything looks like Star Wars." The roles were significantly different in the series and the Star Wars film and yet getting to have a better comprehension of his surroundings was not an easy task because of the intricate costumes, large set props, and the magnitude of it all. Especially in Star Wars, the reality of his surroundings would overwhelm him with the sheer significance of getting to work on such a big project.

The actor said, "Well, you just make it small in your head. You can't go to the MCU, go to Eternals, and be like, "Oh my God! I'm playing a superhero in the MCU. This is overwhelming." You just sort of do the work, and it doesn't really hit you until the movie comes up. Right now is when it's actually starting to hit me."

He continued, "For Star Wars, again, it was for me a job, and it was really fun. Ewan McGregor's amazing. But when you're there, you kind of have to ignore that everything looks like Star Wars and that you're dressed like someone in Star Wars. I don't allow it to sink into myself. Otherwise, I get intimidated. When the series comes out, I think, is when I'll start dealing with it."

As the actor detailed that the magnitude of a big project "doesn't really hit you until the project comes up," Eternals coming up for release just in a couple of weeks might sure be an intimidating period for him. Fortunately enough, the Disney+ Kenobi series is still pretty far away in Nanjiani's immediate list of events. Hence, the star can get a few moments to compose himself before he starts on yet another series of press conferences, premieres, and promotions.

Nevertheless, Kumail Nanjiani is truly thankful for his portrayal in both the Star Wars and the MCU films, as it is a much welcome sight to see the South Asian community represented on the big screen. Nanjiani hopes to do his characters justice and is especially mindful of the problematic stereotypes that are usually associated with South Indian characters if they are portrayed at all in cinemas. Hence, he hopes to break out of these limitations and also wishes to work with more productions if the franchises are to be extended further.
