Michael B. Jordan talks about Chadwick Boseman.

During a recent appearance on an episode of The View, actor Michael B. Jordan, while talking about his movie Creed III, reflected on his late friend and co-star Chadwick Boseman and the lesson he learned from him. Michael B. Jordan and Chadwick Boseman starred in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s "Black Panther."

Michael said there was a moment on the press tour: they were backstage in London and were getting ready to watch the movie for the first time together, and they looked at each other like they were connected for the rest of their lives. The actor, 36, went on to say that he just remembered sitting there and having a genuine connection and moment with Chadwick Boseman. The exchange came before Boseman disclosed to his Black Panther family that he was sick, Jordan said.

The actor noted that he did not know anything about Chadwick Boseman’s health at the time; he had no idea, so when things unfolded the way they did and they lost him, that moment stuck with him.

Michael B. Jordan, who played the role of Erik "Killmonger" Stevens in Black Panther, said the late actor kept his health issues a secret for such a long period, and all this while, he was such a hard worker that he worked up until the very last moment of his life. Jordan said Chadwick’s courage to keep working until the very last moment is an inspiration for him and others around him.

He went on to say that it was what Chadwick Boseman had left everyone with: making the most of every opportunity. Michael mentioned during his appearance on The View that life is short and people have a limited amount of time with the people they love and to do things they love, so they should make it worth it and count, which is something he learned from the late actor and carries it with him as he moves forward.

Back in February 2021, Michael B. Jordan opened up to Vanity Fair about how he dealt with Chadwick’s unfortunate passing in August 2020 after a private battle with colon cancer. He said that their relationship was very personal and had a lot of great moments, some of which he couldn't fully appreciate and understand until now, adding that he wished he had more time to have their relationship evolve, grow, and become closer and stronger.

Jordan stated that they were given a concentrated dose of Chadwick. He achieved more in 43 years than most individuals do in an entire life, and he was here for the time he was destined to be here, having left an impact and a legendary status. That was evident from the overwhelming amount of affection he garnered from people all over the world, and Michael incorporated that there will be generations of children who look like him in the future, which is incredible. Finally, the actor stated that losing him hurt him. It hurt a lot, he admitted, before adding that it was perhaps what made him cry the most this year.

Years before they co-starred in Black Panther, the two actors did appear in All My Children, albeit at different times. Reflecting on their everlasting bond in a 2019 birthday post to Michael B. Jordan on Instagram, Chadwick Boseman did write, "What a journey it's been." "Happy birthday, brother!" Killmonger, played by Michael B. Jordan, appeared in an unexpected dream sequence guest appearance in last year's sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which paid tribute to Chadwick Boseman's King T'Challa character.

Creed III comes out on March 3.
