Netflix will demand that the equipment of all its filming in the United States be vaccinated against Covid. Vaccination will be mandatory in Zone A of all shootings. It is the first study to implement this measure, which arises from the increase in cases of contagion of the Delta variant of the virus in California.

Despite the strict measures of the Covid-19 security protocols that have allowed the return to the filming, productions have continued to be paralyzed due to new infections, with recent cases such as House of Dragon or the second season of The Bridgertons. To control this situation, the industry has begun to reinforce its measures and, following this line, Netflix is the first study that has established the vaccine in Zone A as mandatory for all its filming in the United States.

Zone A of the productions is the one that includes the actors and all the professional personnel who are in direct contact with them to shoot the scenes, from makeup artists to camera operators or directors. And it is also proposed that the obligation be extended to nearby circles outside the production of each of these people when the filming is not taking place in closed bubbles.

As Hollywood reports

As reported by the Hollywood Reporter, the platform's decision comes after Hollywood studios and unions signed a new action protocol last week, given the increase in cases of contagion of the Delta variant of the virus. In this, mandatory vaccination is included as a suggestion to producers, indicating the possibility that it will become a requirement to obtain authorization for filming from now on.

Just last week, actor Sean Penn made his return to the filming of Starz's Gaslit conditional on all workers on the series being vaccinated, for which he offered access to the vaccine for free through his non-profit organization Community Organized Relief Effort.
