Phoebe Siegel is opening up about receiving death threats.

Love Island USA star Phoebe Siegel recently spoke to Page Six about the death threats she has been receiving about the choices she made on the show. She said that people can talk about her and assume the worst, which is fine, but going out of their way to send harsh, cruel, and gruesome death threats to someone they don't even know is extremely upsetting.

Phoebe Siegel had earned the reputation of a mean girl as she pursued her relationships with Isaiah Campbell, Chazz Bryant, and Joel Bierwert before finally coupling up with Chad Robinson and leaving the villa to pursue the relationship outside of the villa. But by the time she left the island, she was one of the most hated contestant on the show but she had explained in an another interview that she was doing what people do on 'Love Island', which is to find their partner and if they feel that this is not working out, they look for another. And during every stage of her journey on the show, she continued to discover new things about herself, which is ultimately why she felt at her finest when she connected with Chad. Phoebe said that now she has the opportunity to be her best self and carry on in the outside world.

Talking about the same, Phoebe said that none of her decisions came as a surprise to anyone because she was very transparent about her approach to finding the right one for her with her cast mates compared to the viewers who felt that she moved from one man to another too fast without considering others. She said that nothing came as a surprise and she was always honest about her intentions, even if they were not shown to the audience.

Phoebe said that regardless of anything, she did not deserve to receive the vicious DMs she received, adding that people have emotional reactions to what they saw and they are entitled to have those emotional reactions. However, the college student and part-time model claimed that when it becomes harsh, harassing, and bullying as well as death threats number of which she received 400 last night and 900 when she first checked her phone [after the event], it's not OK. One of the comments that she pointed out which according to her was the worst one she read was the fact that a user wrote that she deserves everything that's coming for her. She deserves what people are saying about her and she deserves all of this. She said it was really hurtful to read that.

Phoebe is also the president of the Mental Health Matters Club at the University of Michigan and she shared with the publication that she is okay and feels stronger amid the backlash she has received. She explained that she has heard all the stories and she has helped all the kids on campus with so many things. Now she is a victim herself, but she is not going to let her voice be silenced because people are trying to intimidate her and tell her to kill herself.

Phoebe Siegel claims that she wants to utilize the platform provided by reality television to fight for individuals who are also affected by cyberbullying. She says that she will do it for others who are too afraid to let their voices be heard.

Chad Robinson, who is currently dating Phoebe Siegel, expressed his admiration for the way Phoebe has handled the significant amount of online animosity. For starters, people are odd and creepy if they feel the need to go that far with every statement they make based on what they see on TV. The second point, according to Chad, is that people need to realize that while he respects the producers and the entire business, this is television. The longest episode is, what, 42 minutes, maybe, even from a simple mathematical perspective? There may be a more extensive, specialized one. On a good day of experiences, the audience is only viewing 42 minutes of the 24 hours. Not only that but another 10 minutes would be lost if they eliminated all the personal interviews conducted in beach huts and other such settings.

Chad Robinson appreciated Phoebe and  remarked that what the viewers are seeing is only a tiny portion of the experiences and brief exchanges that individuals have with each other during the course of a typical day at that villa. Phoebe was definitely the most forthright person there, based on what he observed of her. With everything she did, Chad said, nothing was unexpected. Everyone was aware of what she was about to do before she really did it, and before she said anything controversial, bizarre, or unsettling, a whole polite scenario had already played out.

The Love Island USA reunion airs Thursday, September 1st at 9 p.m. EST on Peacock.
