Tom Brady talks about his mental health.

On World Mental Health Day, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady appeared on Monday’s episode of Jim Gray on their Let's Go! SiriusXM showed and opened up about how he continues to work toward his mental health.

Tom Brady said everyone has different situations in their lives and children, and they get worried about their mental health, just as individuals worry about their parents and mental health as well. He added that he thinks that he had to learn a lot of things over a long period in sports and mentioned that there is an intense amount of stress that they all deal with.

Tom stressed the question about how one relieves stress so that they do not inflict so much damage on themselves through some kind of stress response. He mentioned that it’s something that he has always continued to try to work at and it’s a challenge for him, but stated that he has had experience with different forms of therapy, whether it’s physical therapy or mental therapy, as he has done both over the years.

Tom Brady is currently in a tough spot with their wife Gisele Bündchen after he un-retired from his retirement and returned to the NFL earlier this year. He took an 11-day absence from the Buccaneers and upon his return said that he had to take leave because he was going through unique challenges. He, although he did not mention which unique challenges he was going through, said during the podcast episode that mental health is not given the priority it should be given.

Tom shared that there is a part of individuals which almost makes them feel like they should suck it up and deal with it, and according to him, after a while, individual can understand and realize that it’s a lot to deal with, especially in today’s day and age, with how fast things are progressing for everyone and the number of responsibilities and that is when they should prioritize their mental health. He continued that people hear this from a lot of people they interact with, saying that they are only human, and added that no one is inhuman or a robot and that they will be immune to a lot of things that just life brings to them.

The NFL player mentioned that it is important to have a good support system in place to help people understand where to commit their time and energy. Tom Brady added that when people wake up every day trying to do the best they can, they need to understand that life comes with a pack of stresses, and to deal with them, a great support system and understanding, having some introspectiveness in one’s life is needed. so that they can look at themselves and say where they commit their time and energy to.

The player said how can people lessen some of the stress and lessen the burden on them so that they can be good for the people around them. He said it’s life and one needs to learn to grow up and deal with life, adding that is exactly what everyone is trying to do and in the best way possible mentioning that when he was in his 20s, he was going through different things and same is with him in his 30s, and him being in his 40s is struggling with different things but one thing remains the same that he can deal with it.

It was recently reported that Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s marriage troubles have been going on for a while now, and it is not new to them. It was said that Gisele Bündchen was upset after Tom Brady decided to go back into the field rather than make time for his family. The couple has respective divorce lawyers on standby and a source has shared that Tom Brady is having a hard time knowing that he could lose his family, but he is in a tough spot because he has to choose between his career and family.

A source shared that Gisele Bündchen is doing fine and she is getting her stuff in line, according to a source close to the model, who also mentioned that they are both putting in effort and fighting to save their marriage and are now looking forward to moving on from it.

But at the same time, the source close to the couple shared that both Tom and Gisele are smart people and number one in their field. The insider added that they know that together they are worth more so even though they have divorce lawyers on standby and have been spotted without their wedding ring, nothing can be said officially.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have two children, Benjamin Rein, 12, and Vivian Lake, 9, as well as John Edward, 15, whom Tom Brady shares with his ex Bridget Moynahan.
