Tyler Cameron and Hannah Brown's version of the story can not be more different as they throw shade at each other for failed romance. Tyler slammed Hannah Brown's claims to be "deeply hurt" by his Gigi Hadid relationship, as he said that it is all a publicity stunt as ‘She’s gotta sell books.’

The controversy of the two stars has resurfaced as Hannah Brown wrote her memoir, God Bless this Mess. The book revealed, according to Hannah, that Tyler "rejected" her for Gigi, and it totally broke her. She delved into many more details about their past romance as she promoted her autobiographical book. Hannah Brown had formerly starred as the lead in the reality TV dating show, the Bachelorette in 2019 and had ended up engaged to Jes Wyatt during the season finale. The star, aged 27, then connected with her former suitor, Tyler, aged 28.

However, after a short reconciliation period, the second runner-up for Brown's The Bachelorette season left her to fate Gigi Hadid. Tyler Cameron has now taken to sharing his own version of the events that followed as he spoke on Nikki and Brie Bella's podcast show, The Bellas Podcast episode from November 29. 

Nikki opened up about the topic by mentioning how Hannah Brown had written a book and clearly uses it to reveal that she had a broken heart following Tyler's rejection. “Obviously, there was a recent headline with Hannah Brown,” said the host. “She came out with a book, right, and just mentioned how she’s so heartbroken over your rejection.” 

While Tyler did not have much to say about the first part of the conversation, he quickly quipped “I’ve got receipts, too,” when the Bella sisters mentioned Hannah saying she has texts from Tyler and her fallout. The former Bachelorette suitor said, “You know, that whole thing. Like, first of all, you’re going to see the level of respect we have for each other. The way I talked about her in my book showed nothing but love, we’ll see how she talks about me in her book, you know.”

From his own book, Tyler meant his very own autobiography named You Deserve Better: What Life Has Taught Me About Love, Relationships, and Becoming Your Best Self, which he released this year in July. Saying that he only hopes for the best of Hannah and wishes she is at a good place, Tyler added, “I hope she’s happy. I hope she’s successful,” but also added, “You know, she’s writing books, she’s gotta sell books, she’s gotta make headlines, so. Sell them books.” 

The podcast interview with the Bella sisters marks the first time Tyler talked about the Hannah Brown controversy after she was revealed to be "really caught off-guard" by Tyler and Gigi's short-lived romance. In her interview with People, Hannah also added that she wanted to "make things work" between the two. 

Sharing how she wished things got better between the former couple, Hannah said, “I was really hoping that we would start dating again.” She continued, “I thought I’d made a mistake. I had feelings for Tyler. We had really intimate conversations about planning trips and things. I wanted it to work and to know that everything had happened for a reason. But maybe there was some miscommunication of what that meant.”

Hannah had a stroke of similar bad luck with former fiance Jed Wyatt, who was revealed to have a girlfriend at the time when he was engaged to Hanah. Sharing that she was shocked at the fact of how public her heartbreak was, Hannah had said, “I knew we were not together or openly dating, but just from the conversations we’d had, it was so shocking — and so public.”

Trying to be understanding, the star also added, “I felt like I had to be strong and pretend it didn’t bother me when it did. I was already on the ground, and this was another kick. I was deeply hurt. I said to Tyler, ‘I’d date Gigi Hadid too if I could. I get it.’ But it was not the way I wish it was handled.” Hannah said that they “didn’t talk” in the months that followed, explaining, “I was upset with him.”

Despite what Tyler says, things definitely did go bad between the two, and when asked by Hollywood Life if he would spare some time to read his ex's book, Tyler replied, “I probably won’t be reading much of it,” and added, “I’ve got a lot of finance books I’ve got to read first!”

The star has just started his two health food restaurants in Boca Raton, and Jupiter Florida, has also been venturing into the business world for quite some time now, and has also been trying his luck in real estate, at which he is notably good. Speaking of his new ventures, he said, “These restaurants are something I’m really passionate about, I think it’s a great product. The food’s good, it’s healthy, and I like to surround myself with things I enjoy doing myself.” 

He then added a few sentences about his real estate business and revealed that he enjoyed building houses. Apparently, expanding his finances is his main focus at the moment, and that is why he will not be sitting down to read Hannah's book as he said, “I’m building houses and taking on that whole world, working on getting some rental properties. So, that’s just the road I want to be in, so I’ve been reading those kind of books and learning more and more about that and just trying to be a sponge.”

Hannah and Tyler had got together after Hannah broke up with Jed as his infidelity was revealed. She then went on to ask out Tyler publicly when the cast of the Bachelorette season 15 reunited for the After The Final Rose episode of the series. Sharing that the couple instantly connected and how the media's perception of their relationship and the eventual breakup was entirely wrong, the star cried, “My time with Tyler at my apartment wasn’t some meaningless hookup, the way it was portrayed in the press. My heart was on the line. And he broke it. With a supermodel."

The unsuspecting star had the shock of her life as she later wrote in her book. She continued, "Can you imagine? I was so embarrassed and hurt, and it was all so public. Again. It all caught me so off guard. I was far too broken to put up with it. I had just been so vulnerable with him. I was so honest about how I felt about him. And then this?” The two tried talking it through, but things did not work out as Hannah shared, “I was so mad. We basically hung up on each other.”
