Warner Bros soon to make a remake of White Houston's Bodyguard.

The Bodyguard, a musical thriller film of the '90s (1992 to be specific) is a romantic drama film that is soon going to be used as a base for the upcoming remake by Warner Bros. Before knowing more about the upcoming movie, let's know more about the original one.

The Bodyguard stars White Houston and Kevin Costner in the lead. White plays the role of a singer cum actor named Rachel who is constantly threatened with death because of an obsessive stalker. This made her hire a bodyguard for personal protection from an ex-service agent named Frank Farmer, but things soon get messed up and chaos begins as she falls for him.

The film made under the directorship of Mick Jackson and produced by Tig Productions and Kasdan Pictures was a hit at that time that earned a revenue of $411 million at the Box Office against its budget of $25 million.

As per the report of The Variety, the task of reimagining and the writing of the film is assigned to Mathew Lopez who has been once nominated for the Tony Awards for Playwright.

The original film is regarded as a musical thriller, because of its big hits in the domain of soundtrack. Songs like I Have Nothing And Run To You, I Will Always Love You and others are some of the best music compilations in a single movie.

The New Film, that is the remake is likely to be produced by Lawrence Kasdan of Kasdan Pictures, alongside Rideback's Dan Lin and Jonathan Erich. Nick Reynolds shall executive produce for Rideback.

Kasdan has been the writer cum producer for the original movie and the Intellectual Property has been attached to Lin since 2011. Leaving the facts aside for a while, this remake is probably worth waiting for!
