Vivica A. Fox has some thoughts to share about Jada Pinkett Smith’s take on the Oscars 2022.

Vivica A. Fox reacted to Jada Pinkett Smith's response to the infamous altercation at the Academy Awards 2022 between Will Smith and Chris Rock, saying that the actress and host of the Red Table Talk took no responsibility while sharing her 'views' on the incident, which resulted in Will Smith slapping Chris Rock in front of the entire world, during an episode of The Wendy Williams Show.

Vivica said it's difficult for her since she's worked with both Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith in films that have transformed her life, but she cried when she saw the video because she thought Jada needed to act like a partner to Will Smith, whose career had fallen apart that night. The actress said that everyone in the audience that night and the people watching him on the internet was cheering for Will Smith that night because of his exceptional work as Richard Williams and everyone wanted him to win. Will Smith, according to Vivica, was going to be named as the generation's Sidney Poitier that night, which is a great honor. Will Smith did win the award for Best Actor for King Richard but the atmosphere was the Academy Awards was already ruined by then.

Will Smith was defending his wife's honor after Chris Rock made a joke that was not even that bad and Chris Rock did not know about Jada's condition at the time, according to the actress, and she added that it was the entire reason why Will Smith walked on stage and slapped him because he felt like his wife was offended. So for Vivica A. Fox to see Jada Pinkett Smith not taking responsibility as a partner is difficult was difficult and hard to understand. Vivica A. Fox also brought up the fact that Chris Rock had been attacked on-stage in front of everyone and that is something that no one should forget.

Vivica A. Fox added that no one should forget that the program was executive produced by Will Packer, an African American guy, and that night was a night of African American and diversity for brown and black people, but it has now been permanently disfigured due to that incident. She concluded that she has a great deal of respect and affection for the Smiths, and she has seen and watched their children grow up, but she wishes there was a little more responsibility and that Jada Pinkett's actions didn't come off as so self-righteous.

In an edition of Red Table Talk, Jada Pinkett Smith stated that her greatest goal for Oscar Night is for the two educated, competent men, Will Smith and Chris Rock, to have a chance to sit down and talk things over, and recover from what has occurred, and finally reconnect. Jada stressed on the part that with the current global crisis everyone requires both of them and that we all require each other more than ever before. But, in the meanwhile, the Smiths will continue to do what they have done for the previous 28 years: figure out life.

Will Smith has been barred from attending any Academy events for the next ten years as a result of the altercation, and the actor who publicly apologized accepted the decision because, in his statement, he said that he is ready to accept whatever the authorities have to say because he reacted emotionally, which he should not have. Jada Pinkett Smith told the audience that they will discuss the situation shortly, but the family is now recuperating.
