No one saw this coming, right?

Heidi Montag has accused Lady Gaga of stealing her song and sort of sabotaging her music career. During an appearance on the Unpopular Podcast, Heidi Montag shared that Lady Gaga was working with producer RedOne at the time, and Heidi and RedOne were supposed to pair up for things that eventually RedOne and Lady Gaga ended up doing.

Heidi shared that Lady Gaga and RedOne ended up writing every song together and producing them, and she was kind of left on the sidelines. Although RedOne and Heidi did end up recording the song "Fashion," which Lady Gaga wrote, the producer said that he needed to get the consent of the writer and later decided to record the song with Heidi, and Lady Gaga approved and said that she could have the song. Heidi said that after recording the song, she was under the impression that "Fashion" was her song.

Heidi Montag used the song during her appearance on The View to promote her clothing line, but Lady Gaga recorded it herself in 2009 for the film "Confessions of a Shopaholic."The reality TV star shared that she loves Gaga, but she has not had a very good encounter with her. Heidi’s husband, Spencer Pratt, also bagged up her claims and said that it was Lady Gaga who wrote the song and that they have known her before she was Lady Gaga.

Spencer also said that Gaga agreed to give the song to Heidi, and when she saw the buzz that was created, she wanted it back.

Heidi also recalled and shared about the phone call she received after Lady Gaga made an appearance in season four of The Hills and gushed about shooting a scene with Heidi’s nemesis, Lauren Conrad. Heidi did not like the fact that Gaga gushed over shooting a scene with Lauren. She also claimed that it was Lady Gaga who had asked RedOne to stop working with her and that RedOne, who had collaborated with Lady Gaga on huge things, chose Gaga over Heidi.

The singer went ahead to explain that she was in the studio with her producer before she became a star and she kind of knew that RedOne is one of the biggest and best producers in the industry and if he took Heidi Montag, that would be like taking her magic away. Heidi said that RedOne wrote Just Dance and quite a lot of songs for her and produced them.

Heidi said that the success of Lady Gaga and RedOne made it clear that she would not want to share that with anyone, and Heidi Montag was a potential rival to Lady Gaga. Talking about "fashion", RedOne mentioned in 2009 that he was going to write and produce her entire album. RedOne also went ahead to say that he thinks that she is a star who has a powerful personality and no limits to her success.

But later, RedOne denied the reports of producing Heidi Montag’s album and said that there was no truth to the story. He also talked about how he started working with Lady Gaga and said that he was struggling at the time and needed to work with big artists, and his manager convinced him that Lady Gaga was talented and would be worth meeting. RedOne said that Lady Gaga’s aura was really special and he liked her as she simply had a motive to be a musician.
