How would you feel I we told you that there is a strong chance for Robert Downey Jr. to come back to the MCU world? Excited! Aren’t you? Well, so are we! But there are a number of questions pertaining to this exclusive event that has kept many fans sleepless! If he does, how will he do so? In what role? When can we see him? And will he be back as Tony Stark himself, the beloved Iron Man?

With recent developments in the Multiverse of Madness, there seems like a very high possibility that we will soon see this beloved Star back in the MCU. And according to some significant news leak, it is now very much possible that we will see this character back in the MCU in Ironheart as an A.I. Why has this news not been confirmed by Marvel or any other sources yet? Well, there is a problem with the contract. The actor wants a ton of money to play the role. Almost similar or more than what he charged to play Endgame!

The story of Ironheart revolves around a character called Riri Wiliams. Riri is a 15-year-old genius who invents stuff just like Tony did. But unlike Stark, she is not blessed with a massive legacy from parents or even the social stature of Tony. Her search for parts is what leads her to the Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. Eventually, she warms up to them, understands Iron Man, and even takes over the role of the genius, billionaire. Just making way for us to see our beloved Tony Stark on screen again as Iron Man and even maybe get to see him in action in the suit again. Or they might settle with RDJ being an A.I. (just like Friday in Spiderman’s suit) and hovering over Riri’s shoulders while she is in action.

Whether or not the contract works out between Tony and Disney is something that only time can tell. The studio may rethink its decision to up its budget for the series. But then again, with RDJ back, there is no doubt that audiences will be glued to the screen every time even a teaser hits. From RDJ’s point of view, it is a possibility. He may have already mentioned in a recent interview stating, “Never say never.” But saying so much, let us not forget that Tony Stark’s death is a crucial reason for the Endgame to collect a whopping $2.798 billion. The budget of the movie was just $400 billion. With the massive collection and nostalgia and fan fiction all around the internet, obsessed with the return of Iron Man in MCU, it might be a tough decision on both parts to dismiss the idea. However, they will both have to tread very carefully to not take the character in any direction that might mull the Endgame fitting experience. Also, RDJ was very skeptical of playing Iron Man again after the character saw a fitting end with the Endgame movie.

Let’s hope the studio and RDJ settle on Ironheart for the sake of nostalgia and the millions of Marvel fans worldwide!
