The royals could be getting back together!

Prince William and his wife, Duchess Kate Middleton, are to visit the United States for the very first time since Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex made the move to the States. the couple had chosen to leave Harry's country, England, as they decide to permanently move to Meghan's native land, America.

Now that Prince William and Kate are visiting the States, there is a flying rumor that the couple would stay with Prince William's brother, Harry. But, a royal expert, Jonathan Sacerdoti, says that is "somewhat likely" that the active royal members would be staying over at the former royal couple's California home.

Calling the rumors that the couple choosing to stay or declining a possible invitation by the Duke and Duchess of Success would be a "lose-lose situation" for both the parties. The expert said, "It’s like so many of these things — it’s a sort of lose-lose situation." Talking with Us Weekly earlier this week, the British Journalist added, “If they get invited, and they decline, it seems petty and nasty. And if they don’t get invited, it seems petty and nasty from the other side. And if they do accept such an invitation and something goes terribly wrong, that seems like a bad idea. I can’t quite see how this would work.”

Kate and William had traveled to the States the last time in 2014, and their coming visit will mark it as the first time they will visit America since all this time. Prince William, aged 39, had stated earlier in October that he would be visiting the US for the second annual awards ceremony of The Earthshot Prize, which is the Prince's initiative for a greener world. The visit will come next year in 2022, and Kate, aged 39, is most likely to join the Prince.

Notably, Prince Harry, aged 37, and Meghan Markle, aged 40, had made the move to California, United States, last year in March 2020. The two retired from their role duties as senior members of the British royal family and gave up their honorable titles. However, the couple was later seen in the attendance of an event along with Prince Harry's elder brother, Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton.

While things on where both the couple stands in their royal, professional and familial lives seem to be a bit hazy and unclear, many experts and fans have noted that the working royals are usually seen as a bit detached from the former royal couple. The two couples barely mingled during the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey in London that year.

That one visit to the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey in London marks the last time the four royals were seen together and have not yet shown up for a reunion publicly. However, Harry had visited the U.K. again this year in April to be in attendance at Prince Phillip's funeral. The Prince was seen exchanging words with Prince William and Kate after the ceremony was over. Meghan could not attend the funeral and the service because she was pregnant with her second child, Lily, at the moment. The couple's daughter, Lilibet, is 5 months now.

Harry once again visited his home country for a short visit, alone again this time. The visit this time demanded his presence as he and his brother, Prince William, unveiled a statue of their late mother, Princess Diana, the Lady of Wales, who had died in a tragic accident following her divorce with Prince Charles.

Despite all the differences of the royal family, the two brothers and their spouses have dedicated a lot of thought and effort to staying in touch with each other and dedicating time to their family. Stewart Pearce, another royal expert had shared with Us Weekly that the couples, William and Kate, and Harry and Meghan, regularly connect with each other through video calling apps.

The expert and author shared, “I know that the four are talking with one another and they’re talking by Zoom, FaceTime,” and while they still have their differences and are still at a "distance" from each other, things could turn for better. The Voice of Change author shared with Us Weekly in a Tuesday, August 24 interview that “They’re very close with one another.” “Their lens on the world is highly individualized,” he continued, “And what’s remarkable is that they all totally respect each other, but this lens is different.”

Omid Scobie, the Finding Freedom Autor, added to Entertainment Tonight in September, “There are still feelings of anger about the way the couple carried out their departure from their royal lives,” as he added that the elder Prince William “has not been able to come to terms with it yet.”

Apparently, Prince William took the news of Harry leaving the hardest of all, agreeably so.“William was blindsided by Harry and Meghan’s decision and statement,” a source explained in an interview with Us in January 2020. “William is incredibly hurt, but at the same time he has his own family to focus on and is trying to move forward with his life.” The Susexxes moved to California, America in March 2020 with their son Archie, now 2. Their first choice to relocate was Los Angeles, but they later shifted to Santa Barbara after welcoming home their daughter, Lili.

After the birth of the latest addition to Harry and Meghan's family, the royals have found a reason to connect with the estranged couple and are in the process to understand each other better. A source shared in July this year, “They have absolutely turned a new page in their relationship and have started the healing,” said the source in the interview. “Everyone around them was thrilled to see how close they were on the day of the statue unveiling.”

Both the royal wives, Kate and Meghan, have also tried mending their relationship and have been on the lookout to establish goodwill in the two families. An insider of the couples said that Kate has been "reaching out" to her new niece and sister-in-law after Lili arrived and added, “She’s sending notes and gifts and trying to build up a relationship.

Still, it is a long way ahead for the two couples, and whether William and Kate decide to live with Harry and Meghan or not, the two parties will find ways to connect and mingle. “It’s not that William and William and Kate leave all the controversy about Harry and Meghan alone,” Pearce said to Us Weekly and added, “But … they just simply position it there because after all, it’s not their responsibility to be involved in, you know, verbalizing anything. What they do is just simply offer as much peace and tranquility and calm as possible.”
