Lara Dutta has recently been in the news for her amazing transformation for the upcoming movie BellBottom. BellBottom, based on the Operation Bluestar, is a spy thriller, is set in 1984 and revolves around the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The movie, directed by Ranjit M Tewari, also stars Akshay Kumar, Huma Qureshi, and Vaani Kapoor.
But it seems not only fans and Netizens but also Lara’s family and co-stars are amazed by this look transformation. In an interview with Zoom TV, Lara described the reaction of her daughter. She said, "She was intrigued. She saw it come alive in front of her... She came in and she saw whole silicon on my face and said, 'Mum they are going to kill you, you can't breathe.' She was so worried. Ya, but having said that, she was also very intrigued and was like, 'Can I touch the nose, the eyebrows? Can I do this, that?'."
When asked about Mahesh Bhupathi's reaction, Lara stated, "My husband was shocked. He probably felt very unsettled with the look. He was like 'I don't want to hug you. You don't really look like yourself."
She also shared a post on Instagram about the same.
She had captioned the post, "Never had I imagined portraying a personality this pivotal & when I saw how this transformation translated on the screen, everything felt surreal & worth it. Can’t wait for y’all to watch my performance in #BellBottom on the big screen in 3D on 19th Aug."
"The film is about a hijack that took place during Mrs. Gandhi's tenure," IANS quoted Lara saying while describing the plot outline.

On Friday, 6 August, Akshay Kumar sharing a behind-the-scenes video about the transformation of Lara Dutta’s looks stated, "What bringing a character to life looks like... Lara Dutta, you've nailed it and how in Bell Bottom". The movie is all set to hit screens on 19 August in both 2D and 3D format.
