The 38-year-old American star Andrew Garfield, mostly popular among the fans and media for portraying the titular role of Spider-Man also known as Peter Parker in the Sony Pictures produced and distributed Spider-Man film series, while recently appearing in an interview with The Guardian spoke about the fact that how his time playing the role of the friendly neighborhood superhero Spider-Man in the second part of the franchise The Amazing Spider-Man 2 left him heartbroken.

“I went from being a naive boy to growing up. How could I ever imagine that it was going to be a pure experience? There are millions of dollars at stake and that’s what guides the ship. It was a big awakening and it hurt. Comic-Con in San Diego is full of grown men and women still in touch with that pure thing the character meant to them. [But] you add in market forces and test groups and suddenly the focus is less on the soul of it and more on ensuring we make as much money as possible. And I found that – find that – heartbreaking in all matters of the culture. Money is the thing that has corrupted all of us and led to the terrible ecological collapse that we are all about to die under,” Garfield revealed to The Guardian, emphasizing on how the business aspect of the superhero blockbuster movie became more important in the eyes of the studio and the filmmakers.

While it seems like Garfield didn’t enjoy his time as the web-slinger in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, various reports and sources suggest that he might just once last time return in the role of fan-favorite superhero character in the upcoming superhero movie produced under Sony Pictures in association with Marvel Studios, Spider-Man: No Way Home. Although the actor continuous to deny his appearance in the epic. "I understand why people are freaking out about the concept of that because I'm a fan as well... You can't help but imagine scenes and moments of 'Oh, my God, how fucking cool would it be if they did that?'" He said, "But it's important for me to say on the record that this is not something I'm aware I am involved in."

"But I know I'm not going to be able to say anything that will convince anyone that I don't know what’s happening," he said. "No matter what I say, I'm fucked. It's either going to be really disappointing for people or it's going to be really exciting. I heard about it. And I did see it. And it's a Photoshop," Garfield said of a video clip where he was present and it was being circulated with the rumor among the fans that it is a set video from Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Jon Watts is in charge of directing Spiderman: No Way Home with the story written by Chris Mckenna and Erik Sommers, the film has a huge list of actors in its cast list which includes some big names like Tom Holland in the role of Peter Parker aka Spiderman, Zendaya in the role of MJ, Benedict Cumberbatch in the role of Doctor Strange, Jon Favreau in the role of Harold "Happy" Hogan, Jacob Batalon in the role of Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei in the role of May Parker, J.
